I've not heard of anyone carrying a spare outboard, although it makes sense. Have you ever had a need to use the spare? What kind of engine do yo use as a spare? sal M15 - "Justus" - 1986 - #361 M23 - #2 - being built In a message dated 4/20/2010 8:21:01 P.M. It was alright but it tended to bring the bow down too much. I recently managed to put it under the starboard cockpit bench and it makes a pretty good counter to the 2.5 that is mounted on the port transom. I keep my anchor forward now and it seems to be a pretty good balance. The spare engine is a 2 cycle and it has no fuel in it so ther is no danger of gas leaking. _______________________________________________ http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/montgomery_boats Remember, there is no privacy on the Internet!
