Thanks Frank... I'm so confused (that's pretty much normal though). I'm going to put names under photos and have you guys say yes. I'll bug you all tomorrow, Thanks, Bill On Jan 4, 2008 1:32 PM, Frank Durant <fdurant@webhart.net> wrote:

Bill,
WOW!!!
Of the photos you currently have posted for "Bonita" numbers 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6 (right to left, top to bottom) were taken by me. I would say 8 and 10 were taken by Bones.

Greetings Rick,
Well... Since it is your request to add your name to the photo(s), I did not feel it was appropriate to bother Bones to get in the middle of your wishes, and possibly label photos incorrectly. I felt it best to communicate directly with you. Sorry if this is a problem. And, if you will re-read the post, I did not ask for your E-mail address. I said I did not have it and asked you to contact me. You could use any E-mail address. I simply wanted you to respond directly, so as to label photos properly the first time.
The link to the page for Bonita is:
http://www.msogphotosite.com/m17bonita.html
When you look at the photos, let's say they are left to right 1-5 top row and left to right 1-5 bottom row.
May I ask you, to ask the other participants of the trip (I do not know who they are) to look and see if I need to add names under other photos. They are more than welcome to contact me direct from any E-mail address they choose. It may be more appropriate for you to ask them, than for me to post the request on the list as the others may also think I have an agenda.
The rest of your E-mail.
Agenda? What could it possibly be? I do not charge for my services, I do not think I have ever been mean to you? I do not think I have asked you for anything in the past? I take that back... I remember when I made a page for Bluebird, March 2006, I E-mailed you a couple of times for info and did not get a response (I believe I'm right on that - maybe not). Do you have any reason to believe I have an agenda? Is there a reason I should have an agenda? Let's do this... If you feel I have been rude, demeaning, mean or in any way not responsible, maybe we should talk it out. You are more than welcome to give me a call (541) 912-2179. I am pretty easy to talk to.
The rope I need? I do the Photo Site as a labor of love. I'm disabled, even after four surgeries (more to come), will never sail again (most likely), and contribute to the list as a participant who does not sail, but stays involved because of the love of water sports. Spending time at the keyboard is at the very least, painful. I had to purchase a wireless keyboard and articulated mount, that allows the keyboard to be nearly vertical so as to not cause my neck and shoulders to spasm and put me in bed. However, that being said, I do the Photo Site because I want to and if you'll recall I do not complain to the list about the pain, discomfort or expense. It is no-ones business, nor do I ask for sympathy for what I go through.
Bandwidth to view the Photo Site. That is Bandwidth that I donate and pay for and have never limited use, nor suggested it. I believe that is apparent when I notify the list when a new page is added. Now at 178 pages and over 1900 photos, that takes bandwidth!
Maybe what I should have said; I do not want to go through the FTP process time and time again for something that should be completed on the first publish. At this time, I'll say Bones was remiss for not knowing to give me the names of the photographers, but he, like I probably did not think it is that big of a deal. Unless of course, the photographer is a professional and adding the photos to his/her resume. I assume nothing. If you or any of the group are in that category, let me know. I'd be happy to add non-sailing photos to a special page to assist.
At this point, and as I see it, you have several choices: 1. Ask me to remove the photos you have contributed (unknowingly). 2. Ask me to label the photos you have taken 3. Call me and we'll talk about it.
However, there is little point in flaming me or being mean, If that is your intent (I assume nothing). Be advised I do not flame back. I have always allowed others to make their own decisions and the flamer is usually the one to be criticized when all is said and done.
Again. sorry to have given you concern that I was being in any way rude or have an agenda.
Best regards, Bill
P.s. Do you realize this E-mail is the first time you have stated you appreciate my efforts? I thank you for the positive comment.

Bill,
It's not clear to me why you didn't get my email address from Bones and not bother the list with this request. It's also not clear as to your agenda for explaining to the list why you want my email address.
So I figure I'll go along with your plan in order to give you all the rope you need.
By the way it also takes "bandwidth" to view the photo site. Are you suggesting we limit our use of it? I hope that's not the case because I really like the site and appreciate your effort and expertise in that regard.
Rick

I do not have Rick Langer's E-mail address. Sorry to use the list to get hold of him:
I have added your name Rick to the photo on Bones M23 page and would like to have you E-mail me off list so I can give you a link to look at the rest of the photos I'll be publishing about "Bonita" the M17. One is the same photo you E-mailed Bones about and there are 9 more that you may require names
to be added to. I'd like to do the name thing all at the same time, it takes a while and uses bandwidth to republish every time I make a change.
Thanks in advance,
