The M15 went to lead around 1987 (or so). Look under the forward v-betth hatch as a 'quick check' as the steel ballasted boats have a 'hump' in this location (just forward of the porta-potti' bulkhead). Best to check the centerboard as it has been reported some boats have lead in keel and the board is filled with steel (and vica versa). My M15 had steel and was fine. Don't write off a boat until you confirm the keel's and center board's conditions. :: Dave Scobie :: M17 #375 SWEET PEA :: Former M15 owner On Nov 16, 2014 1:21 PM, "Alec McCandless" <alecmccandless@gmail.com> wrote:
What year did the Monty 15 start getting lead in her keel and centerboard rather than steel/iron? -Alec
