Mike, You will have to come in straight, but the boat itself is only 7'6", and the trailer is a little less. My garage door has only 8' clearance, so the mast is maybe 8" too high, and I have to lower it to near the cabin roof or put it on the floor; you should be fine with the mast in place. As for length, the package is about 25', but a Pacific trailer has a sliding tongue that gets me to 22', or less than 20' with the tongue completely removed. My mast with the roller furling is 283" (23.58'), but only 266" (22.2') with the furler off or curled to the side. In other words, I think you could make it with a snug fit. I actually think a 17 without the mast might fit into a standard shipping container (20'x8'x8') if the motor mount were raised up or removed; unfortunately, the door is smaller than the interior dimensions, making it a squeaker. Be sure to get more measurements from other folks, of course, Tom Jenkins Scintilla On Jul 10, 2010, at 9:49 PM, Michael Johnson wrote:
All,
I have my eye on the 17. Not sure if I will buy new or used. One question I have is the boat height on the trailer with mast down. I have a 10' x 24' storage shed with 10' height. Will it fit?
