My vintage 2005 hatchboards were, by last winter, deteriorating significantly, with weathered spots and one delaminated corner. I took them home, fixed the delamination with epoxy (carefully inserted with a toothpick and then clamped), evened the edges by filling cracks and voids with epoxy, and completed the job with a full eight coats of Epifanes clear gloss varnish. They look great, and I hope they will last a while, since I'm keeping them out of the sun with a boat cover. Don't want to go through that again for a lot of years.
