George, None of the shrouds on my 1985 M-15 have had turnbuckles since I bought it new, but I can adjust the tension by moving the pin to another hole on the fastener. Will that work on yours? I am thinking about putting a turnbuckle on my forestay shroud just to make life a little easier on the bow. Any comments? Steve M-15 # 335 ----- Original Message ----- From: "George R. I have just taken possession of what is titled as a "96" AM CLASSIC but looks like a Montgomery 15 (it was listed on the MSOG for sale site) it has the name American Classic on it. As this is after Jerry sold the company in 1995 this must be from a company he sold the molds to.
I was wondering if all the specs and information on the MSOG site are valid for the boat I have. I could not find a company under that name, I know that in the boat business they come and go. I understand Montgomery Boats @ Dana Point is building them now.
Any help would be appreciated as I get ready to rig her as soon as the snow melts. It appears that the forestay on this boat does not have a turnbuckle and I am concerned that I will not be able to adjust the rake on the mast.
