Robbin - thanks so much for your feedback! It does help. I had heard of one that had been sitting in the water (ocean) for several years and it did not have a trailer. Needed all new sheets, lines and sails. No outboard. Seemed like it could need plenty of work so I was trying to get a ball-park on the price. Thanks again! Hi Todd, if you could find one, as I believe there were about 20 built (some M boat experts, or M heads will know for sure) then I think it would be hard to put an exact amount on. It probably has a lot to do with the condition and such but there are a couple on Sailing Texas for reference and I can quote you the few I know of. There was a boat in AZ that I looked at that is now in Washington (Clarity) that was somewhere south of $10K. Very nice condition, lot of sails and what looked like a good trailer but the interior was not factory. It was built for racing and all the weight that could be was left out of it. Mine was somewhere around 10K (I cannot remember exactly) and was in good condition, maybe fair, and had a trailer that was not road worthy at all (to be fair the owner did not even list it and just threw it in because I wanted it). Mine had/has a lot of deferred maintenance. I know one that had been maintained much better was for sale for around $25K down the Potomac River but I have no idea what it sold for. So it can vary quite a bit. I purchased mine in a few hours. The one that had sold previously (listed on Sailing Texas) went in less than a day. So they do not tend to be on the market long. Hope this helps. Robbin On 9/3/2012 2:02 PM, Todd Bradley wrote:
Hi - I am trying to find out any information on what one might expect to pay if you could find a M23 in need of some work? Thanks for any feedback.
