Randy,

I have a trolling motor outlet on the transom of my P-15, and an extra trolling plug with exposed ends (one significantly shorter than the other to prevent short circuiting).  To this I clip on a 3 stage charger when necessary.  The system is simple, yet works very well.

Hank,

On my M-15, #407, 1988, the battery is a group 24 and is located underneath the V-Berth.  Raising the V-berth cushion there is a plywood board covering an access hole to the area below the V-berth.  The under berth area is filled with pieces of Styrofoam, except for a battery box that sits just below the opening.  The only difficulty in getting the battery in and out is, what to do with the V-berth cushion. Also, how to charge the battery without removing it. For this I am thinking of making a cable the plugs into the cigarette lighter/DC outlet on the electrical switch panel. Idea here is to plug the cable into the outlet with the other end connecting to a charger that is on deck or elsewhere, and trickle charging the battery through the DC outlet.
