I have a Ritchie Angler type compass mounted on the bottom centerboard piece just below the stepboard into the cabin. It's out of the way, doesn't interfere with anything and i can see it on both tacks while sailing. You'll need an 90 deg angled drill to make those two screw holes though. What are you skippers using for a compass? Are you mounting it flush next to the companion way? How is it illuminated? Thanks Captain Jim Sadler Skipper Sailing vessel Pelican M-15
