as stated already any water in the cockpit will drain out of the pendent hole at the companionway. when the boat is level and if water is collecting at the stern she is telling you need to get weight forward. i discuss the cockpit 'water on the toes' issue in my description of the M15 - www.freewebs.com/m15-named-scred/aboutthem15.htm (about 1/2 way down the above linked page.) if your are experiencing siphoning you can limit the water coming up by raising the centerboard a few inches. :: Dave Scobie :: former M15 owner - www.freewebs.com/m15-named-scred :: M17 #375 SWEET PEA - www.m17-375.webs.com :: Sage Marine - www.sagemarine.com --- On Wed, 2/29/12, Jeffrey Johnston <frjeff@gmail.com> wrote:
Upon closer eye-balling of my "new" (1981 #176) Monty 15, I find no cockpit scuppers. I cannot believe that this could be a design flaw (not typical of Jerry), but am a bit concerned about blue water soaking my feet (or worse).
Ought I worry about this and retro-fit scuppers in the cockpit?
If so, have others done this job and is there any type of "how-to" guide out there in Monty Land?
Many thanks in advance.......
