Matt, My story is very similar to yours. I was at the Annapolis boat show looking at another small sail boat when I ran into Walt Wood. After that conversation I began investigating the M15. Bob was very helpful and later that year I found a used M15 in KY and the rest is history! Skip M15 #208 Sent from my iPhone On Dec 16, 2009, at 7:21 PM, <matt.marx@cox.net> wrote:
Rick,
Yours is the boat that convinced me to buy a Montgomery. I was living in Connecticut at the time, and had been thinking for a few years about the various small boat options. I went to the Annapolis show in '05, thinking of a different boat. I met Walt and Bob there, showing Walt's new boat, and Walt said that if I drove back down to the area one weekend after the show, he'd take me for a sail - my first on a Monty. The sail was fantastic. I was amazed at how stiff the boat was for its size, and how dry we stayed in the windy/ choppy conditions. Walt and Bob went above and beyond to share their time and experience, which futher convinced me that with the boat, I'd be joing up with a great group of sailors (is there any other?).
Mine came across the country on a truck the following summer, and we've since relocated to San Diego. I don't keep a running log on the GPS, but I think I've still got some sailing to do before she's got as many sea miles as land miles underneath her!

Hey, Debora, yours is the closest number to mine (#633 Lynne L) I've seen. #633 was built for Walt Wood of Sailchesbay in 2005 - I bought it in 2007, and have been one happy sailor ever since. Yours must have come down the ways in early 2006?
