My furler works fine even in winds to 35 mph. I just furl down to expose maybe a trash bag size of sail. ⎈--Gary ☺

M-17 folks? This spring we fitting our M-17 "Little Breeze" with a furling headsail that works really great with one exception....really stiff wind like 20 knots plus trying to punch to windward. On our previous sailboats (25 ft and 32ft) we would fly our storm jib but with the furling headsail on the Monty there is no forestay to hank to. What have other M-17 owners done....aside from using the iron spinaker which is what we did this summer on a couple of occasions.?
