Charles: You need the old 80s or 90s and early 2000s model of the Thetford 135 toilet. NOT the one currently being sold as it is way to large. Then there is a trick to make the olde 135s fit - heat up water to boiling, fill potti where #1&2 goes, and press, carefully, into the M15's potti space. These potties are hard to find as, sadly, folks throw out perfectly good units instead of putting them up for sale. An opti is the Small Craft Advisor & Duckworks bucket head for small boats - https://duckworks.com/small-boat-head-system/ (I'm pretty sure these fit the space under the M15's vberth.) :: Dave Scobie :: M6'8" #650 :: SV SWALLOW - sv-swallow.com :: former owner M17 #375 SWEET PEA - m17-375.com :: former owner M15 #288 SCRED - m15namedscred.wordpress.com <<-- new site! What brand/model porta-potti have owners found to fit in the v-berth space in the M-15? Has anyone ever named M-15 #164?
We recently purchased a 1981 M-15 that lacks a porta-potti; looks like one was never installed.
I seem to recall a post stating that the Thetford Model 135 was intended to fill that space. Can someone confirm that, please? These model is apparently oiut of production, but a few still seem to be available online through EBay.
Experience with other self-contained brands/models/solutions without thru-hull/seacock, etc.?
Thanks, Charles Decatur, GA M-15 #164
