Earl: Yes, Dave is right. Every pocket cruiser I have ever sailed is ass-heavy, especially with 3+ people aboard. It's amazing what a water tank under the v-berth will do to trim things out. I'm putting a 15 gallon tank in my M-17, which will add 125 lb to balance the outboard and other stuff aft. I was reading Dave Scobie's response above about (outboards) and placing weight forward. Made me wonder about battery placement.
It's the weathers fault, too cold outside to get my epoxy to go off, so the floor repairs will have to wait till next week.
