Well, I have two votes for redrill, baby, redrill, and Bob's recommendation of use them as is. Fortunately, I like Bob's suggestion best, and luckily he gets three votes! Bill, I'm replacing the pin-stop traveler car and track with a Harken small boat windward sheeting traveler car so I can move the traveler rapidly and easily when tacking. Pulling on the windward control line automatically releases the leeward line so you only have to pull one line during the tack. With the pin stop, you can only release the pin during the short period when the mainsheet is slack as you go through the wind, and if you miss you have to spill wind on the new tack to make the move. It's kind of a pain when you're trying to get around and moving quickly. Larry Yake has the same system on his boat and he has given me some useful tips and advice on installation. I've ordered the parts from Bacon Sails in Annapolis, who has by far the best prices, and they're being drop-shipped direct to my home. Hope to get it installed in time for the new racing season. excellent description and pictures in section 7.2.1 of how to fill and re-drill the bolt holes. (ignore the writing in this section about using the west system epoxy to bond the fitting to the deck. after filling the bolt holes as described use deck bedding compound.)

Doing it the best way is not always the easiest. Drill oversize, fill, redrill. Might as well remove some of the core while you are at it. Bent nail job.
Why are you changing the track? Going to a windward sheeting system? If so I would be interested in what gear you are using.
