We have pulled an 18' Lincoln canoe, and really never noticed. But, then we are more of "cruisers" than "racers" in out make up. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Norm Bundek" <nbundek@earthlink.net> To: <montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Friday, January 21, 2005 7:30 AM Subject: M_Boats: Pulling a large kayak with an M15 I'm wondering how much the sailing characteristics of an M15 would be degraded by pulling a 12' 6" kayak. I have a Hobie Outback which is just 2' 6" shorter than the Monty. Has anyone experienced pulling anything this large? The Outback weighs 64 lbs. The good part about this kayak is that with it's Mirage drive system (peddle power) it can tow the Monty. I was going to sell it for something smaller but thought I would get some opinions on it first. This is what the kayak looks like: http://www.yourcommunityweb.com/kayak.htm .
