I just wired my M-15 from scratch using two small walmart car batteries ($29 each +$5 core charge). Placed one on the port and starboard under the berths just under the access cover. Wired them to a three way  battery switch and fused panel (westmarine.com $24 each). Worked great and balanced the weight, also weight is down low. Now have running lights, interior lite and lit compass. For charging I used a 1 amp trickle charger attached one to each battery and just charge night before use on the trailer without having to remove them. (also walmart $17 each, comes with  an adaptor for direct battey hookup). If you only use one battery and charger it cuts down the cost and the weight but placement more crirical for balance. If I can  provide info or photos of installation if it  will help. . David and Paula,  no6m@hotmail.com   M-15 #318 "Tiny Dancer"
