The original cast iron boards were 170, the glass boards were about 50 lbs. Jerry jerrymontgomery.org ----- Original Message ----- From: "Craig F. The weight definitely hasn't remained constant for the M17, Bill. The new
composite
board is much lighter than the original cast iron. I believe that Jerry's M17 history on the MSOG site, http://www.msog.org/models/m17/m17_history.cfm , says that 55 lbs of ballast was added to the boats after the composite board was removed. Unfortunately, I don't know the weight of either board. --Craig

Anyone know the weight of the Centerboard for the M-15 and the M-17? And, has this remained constant over the years? Thanks, Bill M-17 "Tipperary" _______________________________________________ http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/montgomery_boats
