I have found that I can make every mistake imaginable, one being to screw the gas cap on my Honda 2hp 4stroke crooked, usually when refueling at sea. It feels secure but leaks badly when laid on its side for the ride home. Now I take special care to get it right. Bob 1982 M15 #208
Another idiosyncrasy the Honda exhibits related to the air vent is it'll clog up on it's own over a season with misc. gunk, spider webs, etc. etc. I've had mine choke to a stop motoring and had to loosen the cap to get where I'm going. The vent is easily dismantled and cleaned. t
