thanks for the answres to the "mast foot" . Now I have the gotten the mast up and the forestay tightened. I am soo impressed with the hardware, all HARKEN block and tackle. Lots of pulleys and lots of line...too many pulleys and too many lines. Is there a rigging guide in the MSOG? I know about the jib halyard and the main halyard (although if I am doing this correctly the main halyard is a smaller diameter cable, I would have thought it would be the other way around) I have a line from one of the topmost blocks that is attached to one of the small foot cleats. And another that is attached to a small block about a quarter of the way down on the forward side of the mast. What are these for? Does anyone have any close up photos of the boom and how thw vang and downhaul are rigged? Sorry, I thought I could figure it out but I could use some visual help. When I read the archives its hard to follow the narrative. But HEY I got the mast up, and it wasnt to bad for the first time. gilbert BTW Temp here was around 60 the sun was out and the bay was blowing 10knots. quite a few sails out today. It was a beautiful day for a slow leisurely sail. Or figuring out my new sailboat.
