Yes I have one. For me it was a better solution than a topping lift.
Jerry has recommended using a boom vang. If you have a vang then it is simple to add the Boomkicker.
I shortened the fiberglass rods maybe two inches with a hacksaw. This is discussed in the instructions.
On the tension line I use a Clam Cleat #253 Trapeze and Vang Cleat. This is simpler than tying a knot of the exact length. I have experimented with varying the tension to lift the boom for catching light air. It seems to help.
I keep a screwdriver handy to loosen the bottom fitting that slides in the mast groove. I have to slide it up to allow stepping or unstepping the mast. I then bungy the Boomkicker to the mast for trailering.
