M_Boats: M15 stuck centerboard

I wonder if there would be some way to put a bungee cord on the end of the pennant that put just enough tension on it to pull it up out of the way if the centerboard came up, but not pull the center board up? I've had that problem, too, though more commonly mine gets stuck when a rock gets into it. Bobbie
