The photos work ok for me. The thumbnails are blank/black but if you click in one of the black squares the picture will come up full size. I'd love to see you guys' boats in person. I live in Mound and am the proud owner of M17 # 310. Henry On Thu, Jun 5, 2014 at 3:42 PM, Dan Farrell <msog@danf.us> wrote:
Hi Chad, i found your site, but without the pictures had a difficult time understanding what you did. How were you able to slide back the boat? I have a trail rite trailer, the supporting boards are bowed to match the curvature of the hull and out seems like it'd be tricky to pull it half of them. How far back did it have to go? Seems like a valid idea.
I have a mooring spot on lake Calhoun (bouy 110) but currently my boat's on the hard. I pulled it out when i went out of town last week and wanted to take care of the centerboard before I put it back. Hull 302, i think. I bet you're seeing Rich's m17 which is apparently also on lake Calhoun.

Hi Dan,
I did this a few years back on my monty 17, here is my page on the msog photo site describing how I did it. http://www.msogphotosite.com/CPKeel.html Unfortunately it looks like the photos are no longer working on the site, which kind of ironic given the name :-)
I basically slid the boat back on the trailer and secured the front of the boat so it wouldn’t tip backwards. Then I pulled the trailer forward up onto ramps and then removed the keel and did the work. If you need some help, or want to do the work in my pole barn, I live just outside Henderson, which is about 45 minutes SW of Minneapolis. By any chance is this the Monty 17 I see on Lake Calhoun right now?
Regards, Chad
