....just up snug. We always check the locknuts on a new trailer with a wrench before lowering a boat on it. Once in a while we find something loose. Probably left the factory that way and the long delivery to Northern California empty, probably let the trailer rattle and shake more than normal. You don't need a torque wrench. Bob Norm Lane wrote:

I guess I need to buy a torque wrench. Anyone know how hard to tighten these things?
