If you loose the not in the pendant you can lower it even lower
But be careful! If it comes down too far the board will be levering itself down in such a way as to break the end of the board with the hole in it (awkward to explain, but easily seen when you have the thing out). That's why I needed a new board. I replaced the board with the boat lying on its side in the driveway. Didn't mean to do it that way, but everything worked out all right. You can sail without a board, but the windward performance suffers a great deal and the cockpit tends to fill up with water forced up through the pennant hole. Giles Morris
