Hi John and Joy... You're welcome to have a look at my '79 M17, but she's looking a little shabby right now... on the trailer in the driveway, awaiting decent boat work weather. I need to do some new cushions, some rigging work, new cockpit drain, as well as scraping and varnishing. I lived in Charleston for 5 years as well, I love it there... though it's gotten pretty pricey. Now is a good time to buy, real estate has taken a dive there. Still, marinas are in very short supply An M17 would be a good solution. Greetings, We joined this listing thinking we might locate an M17 owner in the southeastern section of the states that might allow us to view their boat. We have not seen an M17. We are also hoping to locate a clean used M17 for sale. We realize living here in northeastern Alabama isn't the best place to shop for a sailboat, especially a west coast build boat like the M17. But you never know till you make an effort. I have approximately 5 years sailing experience, primarily on larger sailboats. However, we are retiring this year at 62 and hope to relocate to the Charleston SC area. And of course, we want to do some serious sailing while we can. Any information will be appreciated.
