Hello Bones, My favorite pair of binoculars is my Fujinon Mariner model (7X50 with compass). The optics are splendid, the compass is a very handy feature, for coastal navigation and they were nowhere near the cost of Steiners. They don't fog up internally and they also have 22mm eye relief. The only drawback is the individual focus is not as fast or familiar as center focus, but there may be other Fujinon models which have that feature. Look through as many binoculars as you can (I certainly did). I believe the optics in the Fujinons are first rate. I'd like a marine set with an eye relief of at least 22mm because I wear glasses and in the 7 x 50 size. Any proven winners out there? What is everyone fond of? Anyone use a compass enclosed model? Thanks for the shared knowledge. Bones _______________________________________________ http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/montgomery_boats
