Auto body shop has done a GREAT job for me at a great price too in the past. Also just saw a restoration in progress on an old Chris Craft fiberglass speed boat runaround that is using a vinyl wrap membrane on the deck and topsides to keep costs down. It looks great as well! May I recommend Don Casey's book? It has a wealth of useful light maintenance info, including a lot about getting really good results with the roll and tip method for 2 part polyurethane. I can't think of anything I've read there that has ever been refuted, and Mr Casey has a great long term perspective on maintenance; it's clear he's thinking many years down the road when he gives advice.

I have a 1973 Monty 17 #44. The hull has been sanded. I am in need of advice on how to proceed with topside painting and bottom painting. Any experience with methods and materials appreciated! With what I have read online and elsewhere in am totally confused. Thanks Jon Barber, Modesto, CA
