I appreciate the feedback on my questions about the drop keel being down versus up and on using the jib. I only sailed with the main to see what happened. The boat sailed ok but not well and I will certainly use it all the time. Eventually I would love to get a larger jib too for the light winds.

Boat should have bot main a jib up. Her ability under main or jib alone is very poor.

At slower speeds it was obviously harder to turn across the wind on a jibe but with a little boat speed up it still jibed and tacked just fine.

I like the Garelick/EEz-In 18017:01 Compact Transom Ladder as it uses four attachment points and is unlikely to pull out of the transom (seen it happen!).
