Jon, Years ago I rebuilt the foredeck of my M17 to remove and replace the saturated balsa. I did it from the inside, and it was a nasty, nasty job. I mentioned the work I was doing to Jerry Pollas, former publisher of Good Old Boat magazine. He said to me.. "Can you turn the boat over?" That would have made the job far easier..... Good luck sir.
