Tony, Dodge Caravans have notoriously weak transmissions. A new transmission is about $3,500. I would think twice about towing great distances or in hilly areas. If you ar just running across town it's probably fine. You have enough weight for safe stopping but that weight combined with the weight of the boat and trailer is a lot to ask of a 2.4L engine on a long drive.
