That would work Jon.. Your boat already has a stainless backing plate with aircraft lock nuts securing the pulpit. The advantage is you can simply un-tie the line when your finished. On some recent boats we have installed a cockpit mounted padeye during the building process. But your idea would work just fine. Fair winds Bob Jon Martin wrote:
