That would work if the original had been shortened. On my sail the foot is at the proper length and it appears that the luff is short so the leech will be at the incorrect angle. I will keep the group posted on my findings after I haul the boat.

Hello All. Surely a sail maker could easily sew 2 ft onto your short sail. I had the same experience when I bought a Compac 16 from a fellow who sailed exclusively on Chesapeake Bay. I suppose he wanted a sail with a permanent "reef". RTH.
