Hi Joe, you're right! There's some problem with the attach function in the blogs, even though it seems to work OK in the forums. I'll check it out more later today (if I can stay awake after all the turkey this afternoon!) Have a good Thanksgiving! Joe Murphy wrote:
Frank, I'm sorry, I didn't phrase my question right. I was able to post the message and attach the pictures, but when I went back to check it out I could only see the message but not the pictures. Happy Thanksgiving to all. Hi Joe,
When you are creating or editing the blog post, click on the "Additional Options" link to expand the area where you can upload photos (called "attachments", since you can also upload PDF files or spreadsheets you want to share). There's a tutorial on adding pictures in that editor at http://montgomeryowners.com/forums/index.php?topic=9.0 (that is for the Forum posts, but it works exactly the same in the blogs).
I'll make sure the permissions are in effect to allow the same picture uploading rights; I currently allow up to 6 pictures at 1024k each on each post (but that can change if we need to change it).

Frank, Thanks for all your efforts. I tried to set up a blog and could get to the note I wrote but not to the attahed pictures. Can you tell me what I may be doing wrong? Members of montgomeryowners.com can now create their own Blog on the site. Membership is free; you just have to register in the forums to get access to all the features on the site.
A blog is a great format to chronicle your mods, sailing adventures, etc., It can also act like a web page for your boat. Unlike posts left in our boards, where the post will be buried by new posts above it, your blog will always be in the same place. You can give the URL to friends and family, and they can find your blog postings and pictures without having to navigate an unfamiliar forum.
The details are at: http://montgomeryowners.com/forums/index.php?topic=21
