My 2004 has a lingering hydrocarbon smell in the cabin , but I did not know where it came from (will check tomorrow). Likely the same opening, so I too will go to my trusty tube of silicone, or open up the hole so I can run the hose from my 6 gallon Honda tank in the port locker aft to the motor. I solved it by buying a large tube of silcone sealant and filling all the nooks , cranies and cracks. It sealed them up fine. Regards Arnold On Feb 10, 2010, at 5:18 AM, Bill Wickett wrote:
Our aft cockpit locker, which holds the gas tank has small openings on either side wall, at the very top, aft corner. Where the side panels were not fitted up into the coaming. We get a gasoline smell in the cabin from this A project this spring is to close these openings.
Does anybody else have this?
Maybe someone can do a poll on this at Lake Havasu. Check out the newer and the older boats in attendance to see if the aft locker is closed up on either side. You really have to get right down and look up into the locker. Sure wish I was there. Hope it all goes well and everyone has a good time.
Thanks
