Seems like responding directly to Jed rather than the whole group might be more appropriate in this case. www.rustyknorr.weebly.com

Hi all, My name is Jed and the reason I'm here is my father used to have a Montgomery 17. Through a series of unfortunate events, he let possession of his girl slip away. While I fear the hull and mast are likely gone for good, he kept a BUNCH of sails, the tiller, mainsail/boom, most of his records, whisker pole and other ephemera in his home. I'm sadden to say he passed away late last year and I am left to settle his estate.?
I refuse to discard all this gear without trying to find a useful home for it. You, fellow sailors, are my first step in trying to figure out what to do next with this equipment. If this isn't allowed here, please accept my apologies. Hoping to at least get some advice on where to go next. Thanks so much, peace, and fair winds to all. Regards, Jed N in MinnesotaOn behalf of Dallas N and the Sallie Q

Hello Jed, I would be interested in the sails if they?re not too old. Mine are originals and almost 40 now. What make are they? Is there any stiffness left in them? Let me know if you?re not bombarded by local guys. They should get 1st crack to make things easier on you. I?m sorry to hear about your loss but glad to know your dad got to spend some time with ?his girl? for a while. Best, Ian Black M-17 Seaweeble M-15 Judi B 541-430-0481

I am also in the Minneapolis area and would love to look through your gear. I am not in need of anything right at the moment but you never know. . . . I could take pictures for other group members from farther away needing gear.
