Ah, Tod, Anything connected with sailing is enjoyable. Being out on the water is just the culmination of other necessary and important activities. My local friends would commiserate with us on a Monday, after we spent the weekend on the boat in pouring rain. They didn't understand at all that sitting in the cabin, two adults and two teenagers, and just talking; reading; doing macrame; whipping lines; modifying something; having a good dinner by the light of our nice kerosene lamp as the rain made soothing sounds on the cabin top, was the essence of pleasurable activity. Only under such circumstances can you just sit and really talk to each other, without outside disruptions. Years later, our children still didn't feel they were home, until they were with us on the boat and sitting in our cabin. That was their nest. That was home. It also proved to be a very quick go-no go test for future potential mates.......... One weekend on board was enough to quickly determine: fits with us, and can operate in confined spaces or, ..........doesn't fit at all. Connie
