Hi Steve, I had a Honda 2 HP on a fixed mount on my M15. I could tilt the engin by rotating it slightly so that the case cleared the stern of the boat, and then everything was in order. I'd say about a 15 degree turn to the left - facing aft - should do the trick. I now have a lift mount, and still do the same thing. Connie M15 #400
