I also bought a Sony portable CD, but I had problems with it.  It worked great on the shelf at home, but it would skip when the boat rocked even slightly (like when those %&%$#@#* pwc buzzed around). I'm thinking of buying a cassette player to install on the boat, one that is set up to handle input from a CD changer.  Just don't know where to put it all...yet!
