Wow - thanks! What a gorgeous, bright photo. You just wanted to show off that ridiculously perfect, shiny clean interior, didn't you? ha. I had been wondering what those little fiberglass "caves" were on the floor too. My husband was guessing they were from when the molds were turned. Looks like they were for a drain hose? So I'm thinking the flaking fiberglass matting inside the wet locker was an effort by an owner who was having problems with these drains. They must have cut off the drain exits and tried to plug the holes. Is this going to be a hazard, to not have the original system working? Boy, I ought to get out and visit some of your boats to learn what mine should look like. I did recently learn that our boat did nearly sink last year. The lower gudgeon bolts came out, and the boat was hanging by its dock lines when the owners arrived. I'd been wondering how the starboard winch had broken right off of the base...I'm guessing the boat's weight was leaning on the winch. There was no lower gudgeon when we bought the boat either - another spot that had been covered and glued over in a desperate attempt to not have another near-sinking. We manufactured new gudgeons and backing plates, so that should be fine. Thanks so much! I will save this photo. (Someday my boat may also look so shiny and nice!) One mystery my boat has that I'd like to solve, because this mystery is leaking, is the underside forward corners of the wet lockers. In my boat, it looks like someone sawed something off of each corner. The corners were drippy and covered with duct tape. (Of course!) Were there some important drains there, or...? I'm planning to chip/grind out the loose, flaking fiberglass matting inside the wet locker, then epoxy the corners so they're tight, unless you guys tell me that I'm missing some crucial parts! Thanks so much.
