Yes, that's the one and you're right it's Fern Ridge. Mr Montgomery graciously provided a mast step and advice and with some fiberglass work it's back among the living. It's a fun little boat with lots of sail area and it scoots right along. I'm still changing stuff. I'm not a racer and It's probably blasphemy but sewed in put a reef point in the main sail using sailrite parts and I might even add another. It's got plenty of sail area for a little boat I tipped it over at the dock...(on purpose....sort of) while testing to if I could get back in. It was a little bit of a struggle and I had to take the rudder off and come in over the stern and busted my windex in the process. It has a 2 part aluminium mast and I was thinking about making the top section sealed so it has some flotation and won't turn turtle as easy. Also when righting it I had to pull pretty hard on the centerboard and worried about breaking it......I wonder if It would be worth it to make an Aluminum one a little heavier...maybe a little Lead even.......Mr Montgomery...forgive me :-) All in all it's a pretty sporty little boat. Looks like a nice ride... :-) That's the one several of us hereabouts (Oregon) had heard about and you ended up buying, right? And fixed it up etc.? Is that Fern Ridge I assume? cheers, John On 9/26/24 23:26, Lawrence Winiarski via montgomery_boats wrote:
