Jake, I have ordered Harken Part No. 2744, also a pair of endstops, #263, and 6' of low-profile track with holes on 4" centers. Hope this will do the job. That sure sounds like the way to go. Fortunately, I like Bob's suggestion best, and luckily he gets three votes! Bill, I'm replacing the pin-stop traveler car and track with a Harken small boat windward sheeting traveler car so I can move the traveler rapidly and easily when tacking. Pulling on the windward control line automatically releases the leeward line so you only have to pull one line during the tack. With the pin stop, you can only release the pin during the short period when the mainsheet is slack as you go through the wind, and if you miss you have to spill wind on the new tack to make the move. It's kind of a pain when you're trying to get around and moving quickly. Larry Yake has the same system on his boat and he has given me some useful tips and advice on installation. I've ordered the parts from Bacon Sails in Annapolis, who has by far the best prices, and they're being drop-shipped direct to my home. Hope to get it installed in time for the new racing season.
