Beware of boarding ladders with only two attachment points. They are prone to pulling out of the transom. Get a three or four attachment point model. I've been working on my M15 and I wanted to put in a transom ladder.
I did a little research andthought I'd use the ladder that's for the potter 15 sold by International Marine. Boy was that a mistake.Apparently IM is out of business and they've lost all integrity. Anyway they sent me a standard 3 step
fold over platform ladder while doing everything possible to mislead me into thinking it was their custom transomladder (which was nice) at custom prices. He was being evasive enough, I didn't want to buyit without a picture, but he shipped it anyway and billed me after it was already in the mail. I naively trustedhim and paid for it without a picture and now I see it was a confidence game to con me into paying for something I obviously didn't want and could have easily purchased on my own without the 300% markup....Good grief.
Anyway, while I dispute the charges, I find myself back into the ladder market. I saw on thehttps:// msogphotosite.com/Scripts/StoryTechnical/storytechnicaldetail.php?id=25 (Or you can see it by looking at "M15 Mount and Ladder Installation" at the msogphotosite)
A nice ladder writeup by a "Robert Becker". Apparently he may have sold his boat to Daniel Rich. in his writeup, he gives a part number for a "westline" ladder R-1185.....anyway, I don't know ofa westline, but was it "windline"?
Does Mr Rich or Mr Becker know what type of ladder he has/had and where to get it and coulddouble check the make and model for me? Having a lot of fun with the M15. I put in a nice lithium lifepo4 100ah battery up front (only 30 lbs)and depthfinder. Yet to do are the ah meter, solar panel and lights.
Incidentally saw a nice light setup here from Marinebeam. Basically it's an LED that can eitherbe a white anchor light, or a 3 color masthead light. So you only need 1 fixture instead of 2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4R92WLV88cQ
