Robert: The stock Montgomery 15 cockpit drain has no valve. It is the same hole used to control the centerboard control line. Nothing fancy, just gravity moves water down past the centerboard. From your writing it seems you have a prior owner modification. Some details and pictures would help the group provide you assistance on what was done and can be done to solve any issues. :: Dave Scobie :: M6'8" #650 :: Baba 30 #233 DEJA VU :: former owner SV SWALLOW - sailboatswallow.wordpress.com/ :: former owner M17 #375 SWEET PEA - m17-375.com :: former owner M15 #288 SCRED - m15namedscred.wordpress.com On Thu, Mar 21, 2024, 06:34 Robert Tintera <tinterapalmisle@gmail.com> wrote:
Hi guys, my M15 cockpit drain got clogged sitting in Fla boat yard, I was able to remove factory screen and knob and clean out, is that drain like a ball and cock one way valve that let's the M15 cockpit drain down and around swing keel, its obviously a one way valve not letting water back into cockpit, does that pretty much sum up how it functions? Thank you all! Robert/M15 Fla
