Peel ply is Dacron and not air tight. It’s to get the surface covered with bumps for the next coat. To get gelcoat to cure overnight use a plastic wrap to keep air away so it cures. Or use PVA a green liquid that you spray over the gelcoat after letting it sit 30 minutes. It also keeps air out and after the gelcoat cures you can wash it off with water. Bob Sent from my iPad
