Hello all the snow was just freaking awsome. there were so many photos taken that the developers were swamped and disposable cameras were gone off the shelves. There is some guy on Ebay auctioning of Corpus Christi snow for $10,000.00 wow. We have never seen it snow and never actually played in it. It started about 6pm with a little BB size hail we were watching TV and were getting ready for christmas eve service at our church. By 6:45pm there was a nice covering of ice on the ground and we decided not to chance the harbor bridge so we stayed home. Thinking it was not going to get better then this we were making slush angels and had gotten enough ice on the hood of my car to make what was probably the first iceman in Corpus in 150 years. We didnt know how to act when it didnt stop snowing, it was 1am and our iceman was half buried in the white stuff. We were running crazy catching snowflakes in our mouths and running inside to warm up enough to go back outside. The real Christmas present was waking up the next day to an extremely white Christmas day! It had snowed all night and had about 5" of fresh snow powder! Of course we immediatly went out and started a real snowman and found out that snow doesnt pack till it gets a little moisture. Little things like driving in icy conditions are totally alien concepts to South Texans. Police got to the point where they were not even reponding to all the fender benders. "just pick up the appropiate forms and fill them out yourselves" they said. Happy new Year to you all Gilbert
