Hello Robbin, Doug (the admiral) is a great guy to sail with. I had the pleasure of his company in the North Channel this last June. Years ago, when I acquired my M17, there was small pock mark blisters along the waterline, some on the boot stripe as well. They were very small, but clustered together. None contained water. I don't believe this M17 had ever been in salt water. Anyway, I sanded these, filled the voids, applied 8 coats of Interprotect 2000, and two coats of Micron CSC. This was in 1997 and apart from applying a bit of bottom paint from time to time, all looks good. For what it's worth. Later, Bones
