I too am a veteran, served with the 9th Infantry Division in VietNam. The division had a proud heritage going back to North Africa in 1942 then into Europe, and we did our best to uphold and honor that tradition. I was the Graphics guy in the 497th Reconnaissance Technical Group on the Rhein River in the suburbs of Wiesbaden in Schierstein Germany (1969 -1972). What a great tour. But it was you and your generations' shoulders we stood on. You made it easier for us all. Thanks again, I never knew of your service. We are indeed a lucky fleet of sailors - we have a talented and involved 'old guard' of current sailors/owners/builders that truly love the work they did/do and are still working on at this instant. Few 'boat owner groups' as a lucky. Stan has his heart in the fleet (and likely a physical hand in most of the boats) and is willing to help everyone that may ask for assistance - (I have benefited from his generosity many a time) - Jerry is still a vibrant force and making MORE WrinkleBoats to this day - who da thought that we would still be sharing great times, information, new boat models, ideas, plans and a plain old helping hand over 40 years later? I let go of my M-23 once, it sucked to let it go , I probably thought at the time that I needed the money or I wasn't using it enough or I had developed other interests or I had to build an airplane or I need to support a kid or 2 or I had other boats or or or and and and.
