Tim, The Thetford 135 can be retro fitted to fit the well in the M-15. I have a 1982 model and with a quick remolding of the base tank, it's a perfect fit. All you need is a couple gallons of boiling water and 2 beers!! Here are the simple steps. 1. Place the Thetford 135 in the well on your boat. 2. Pour in 2 gallons of boiling water into the holding tank. 3. Sit on your new throne. 4. Pop open the first beer 5. Drink beer slowly. 6. Repeat steps 4 & 5 7. Drain cold water from Thetford 135 holding tank. 8. You now have a perfectly reformed holding tank, ready for use!! Good Luck!! Theford is making a eplacement (model 260) BUT the 'exact replacement' isn't an exact eplacement! the base is not the same size and will not fit in the M15. so ... do some Internet searching to see if you can find some remaining stock, r look for one that may fit (i haven't found one). the 'wag bag' system is an option - http://www.cleanwaste.com/demo/go-anywhere-toilet the 'toilet', when assembled, will not fit in the M15's potti-space when the -berth cover is in place. this means you need to set up the unit each time it s used. another option is to use the 'wag bags' in a bucket that is cut down to fit nder the v-berth. there are toilet seats made to fit on buckets and seal (do n Internet search for 'bucket toilet seat'). We can also hope Dave Scobie is not on a cruise, 'cause he knows about all this stuff. sadly i'm not on Larry Yake's annual San Juan and Gulf Is. cruise :-( busy uildin' boats :-) (a good thing) -- On Sun, 6/16/13, Tom Jenkins <tjenk@gte.net> wrote:
Tim, I have an M17 (Hull 626, 2004), but I imagine the opening for a porta potti is the same on both our models. My Thetford Model TC 26104 Porta Pot just fits, although I don't know if it is still made. It is 15" front to back, 12.5" wide, and 12" high (must be 2.5 gallons). Thetford and SeaLand both make units of about that size, so I think you should measure your spot just to make sure 1/2" or so difference is not that critical. You might also look into the waste absorbent packs that were in vogue awhile back, if they are still available. We can also hope Dave Scobie is not on a cruise, 'cause he knows about all this stuff. Hello from the Texas Redneck Riviera The year model of my boat is a 2007. There is a recess where the porta potti should fit, I assume. I would appreciate it if someone could save me some time and just tell me make and model that fits. Thanks Tim Erwin. 2007 m15. ( Dark Star ) # 641 Rockport, Texas
