I love my aluminum toe rails . . . Should be an option on new boats . . . ----- Original Message ----- From: "Doug Kelch" <doug_kelch@yahoo.com> To: "For and about Montgomery Sailboats" <montgomery_boats@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Tuesday, August 19, 2003 7:17 AM Subject: Teak hatchboards and toe rail Jesse, I think many of us have replace the Hatchboards with teak face marine ply. It's expensive but looks nice if finished like the rest of the trim. I don't recall anyone replacing the toe rail. The toe rails on my 84 are in good shape with only 1 small chunk on the starboard side. I have always been jealous of the M17 black toe rails with the all of the holes to mount snatch blocks and tie off fenders. If you do replace it you might consider these.
